Test Notes

The Nordica Steadfast 85 DC is a front side-oriented ski that would be ideal for an intermediate to expert skier who is looking to explore their edges on anything from firm to packed-powder snow. At higher speeds, Nordica’s unique Double Core, which consists of a horizontally laminated construction, really delivered a smooth and confident feeling in various types of snow conditions and terrain, while its rounded tips and tails with minimal rocker allowed me to both initiate and finish turns effortlessly. This is a ski I want everyone to own, as it provided endless amounts of fun on both firm and soft days. As a result, the ski reminded me of reggae legend Jimmy Cliff—“smooth, and rocksteady mon.” —Patrick Kinghorn
